Gram flour, also called besan, from TRS is a fine flour widely used in Indian cooking. It has the characteristic flavour of chickpeas and gives body to batters, doughs and sauces. The 2 kg pack is practical for frequent recipes.
How to use it. Mix besan with water and spices for pakoras or chilla, or stir it gradually into a sauce. Whisk it well before cooking so that no lumps remain.
Best for. Best for Indian chickpea flour recipes, wheat-free batters and sweets such as besan ladoo. Keep the pack closed, away from moisture and strong smells.
