Semolina idli, the quick version of the Karnataka classic. Nothing to ferment — the batter steams as soon as it has rested.
How to make it. Mix with yoghurt and water, rest for 10 minutes, pour into moulds and steam for 10 to 12 minutes.
Best for. Breakfast or a light dinner with sambar and chutney. Very handy midweek.

Semolina (wheat) & lentil flour, hydrogenated vegetable oil (palmolein oil & sesame oil), Bengal gram, salt, raising agents (sodium bicarbonate and citric acid), dehydrated green chillies, dehydrated curry leaves, mustard seeds, dried ginger powder, fenugreek powder, asafoetida powder and butylated hydroxy anisole (preservative).
